ASL Summer Bucket List
It’s hard to believe that another school year has zipped by and summer break is already here! Cue the warm sunshine and exciting activities! We’d
Many of us learned the Pledge of Allegiance in elementary school. We’ve etched it in our hearts and minds which makes reciting it years later a piece of cake. Today we’d love to take that engrained knowledge and add to it in a fun new way by learning the pledge in American Sign Language!
For adults and children ready to take on the challenge, we’ve broken down the Pledge of Allegiance in ASL into five videos. Each video builds on the previous one, so that you can practice each phrase and progress at your own pace.
For younger children, or those who may not feel quite ready to learn the entire Pledge of Allegiance in ASL, we have selected five focus vocabulary words that correspond with the pledge. Even if you decide to learn the full pledge, we encourage you to take a minute to learn or review these ASL vocabulary words. Each of these videos demonstrate proper hand placement and form, and we’re sure you’ll find them helpful.
We hope that by learning the Pledge of Allegiance in ASL, your American Sign Language knowledge and vocabulary will grow and expand, as well as your love for the beautiful country that we live in.
